Aug 10, 2021 (newstodate): A major North European air cargo hub, Oslo Airport was busy with all-cargo and freighter operations in week 31, 2021.
During August 2-8, the airport handled 67 dedicated cargo flights, with Qatar Cargo topping the heavyweight list with six Boeing 777F flights in the schedule.
Emirates operated five flights at Oslo with Boeing 777F; Korean Airlines had three Boeing 777F flights, as did also Ethiopian Airlines.
Turkish Cargo operated two freighter flights at Oslo Airport, and KAL Cargo Airlines routed two Boeing 747-400 aircraft from Oslo Airport, while AirBridgeCargo Airlines and Sky Gates Airlines each performed one Boeing 747-400F flight from Oslo Airport.
Numerically, the bulk of the cargo traffic was provided by integrators UPS, DHL and FedEx served by a number of providers using smaller aircraft connecting to their respective European hubs.
In July 2021 alone, volumes at Oslo Airport were 14,854 tonnes, an increase by 12 percent, y-o-y.
