Aug 26, 2021 (newstodate): Overall, Norway's exports of fresh salmon was up by 13 percent in the first 33 weeks of 2021, totaling 590,142 tonnes.
   In week 33 ending August 22, the increase was 22 percent, to 22,041 tonnes.
   Salmon exports to the Chinese market totaling 18,784 tonnes from January 1 till August 22, 2021, increased by 71 percent, but the comparison is of course marred by the turbulence during times of coronavirus.
   In week 33 alone, exports to China were anyway up by 367 percent, y-o-y, to 705 tonnes.
   Exports of salmon to the US market totaled only 3,706 tonnes during the first 33 weeks of this year, down 29 percent, with volumes in week 33 rising 245 percent, y-o-y, to 176 tonnes.
