Aug 19, 2021 (newstodate): The new Norwegian LCC Flyr is still lacking own capacity to operate its network.
The carrier is in the air with the first flight on June 24, 2021, and planned to be operating three Boeing 737-800 aircraft in the fleet this summer, but the delivery scheme is slipping.
Flyr is still operating only two Boeing 737-800 aircraft as the delivery of the third aircraft, slated for late July 202, remains delayed.
In the past week, the carrier has been operating with the lease of one Boeing 737-400 aircraft from the Danish start-up charter and ACMI carrier airseven - but is now to lease one Airbus A220-300 from the Latvian carrier airBaltic to cover up during the period August 21-26 on routes from Oslo to Alicante and Malaga, as well as on domestic routes from Oslo to Bergen and Trondheim.
