Aug 09, 2021 (newstodate): The Norwegian company MSG Aviation has landed its first airline customer for its innovative de-icing and aircraft washing services.
The two parties have inked a LoI that brings MSG Aviation a step further in the plans to establishing the first MSG Aviation hangar at Oslo Airport.
After a period of research, development and testing, MSG Aviation’s product is now ready for commercial launch, and the company is in dialogue with Oslo Airport to make pre-engineering for a facility to be commissioned in 2022.
Automated de-icing performed in a purposed gate will contribute to faster operations, less queuing, reduced fuel consumption, increased collection rate of de-icing fluid, and the possibility of reusing the de-icing fluid.
MSG Aviation is also to offer automated aircraft and engine wash, and development is also being conducted for introducing technical inspection of the aircraft where it is scanned while being washed.
