Aug 02, 2021 (newstodate): The coming new Norwegian long-haul carrier Norse Atlantic Airways is finally to go public with new livery, plans and destinations on August 10, 2021.
The date has been revealed through a teaser on Linkedin and other platforms.
Set up in spring 2021 by three investors Bjorn Tore Larsen with 54 percent, Bjorn Kjos with 15, and Bjorn Kise with 12 percent, Norse Atlantic Airways has earlier said it is planning for launch of flights on Transatlantic routes connecting destinations including Oslo, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, London, and Paris with an all-Boeing 787 aircraft fleet.
The aircraft were formerly operated in Norwegian's fleet, and while plans initially called for 12 aircraft, the carrier has now signed a fresh leasing contract with BOC Aviation for six Boeing 787-9 aircraft for an unusually long period of 16 years, with deliveries from December 2021.
With this latest leasing contract, the fleet will comprise 15 aircraft, and Norse Atlantic Airways aims to launch services by December 2021, already.
