Aug 23, 2021 (newstodate): Ryanair is preparing for a major campaign to bolster its presence in the Swedish market.
As a novelty, the carrier will launch flights on its first-ever domestic routes in Sweden, connecting Stockholm Airport with Malmo and Gothenburg later this autumn.
At the same time, Ryanair is also to open a new base at Stockholm Airport from the start of the coming winter 2021/22 schedule, allocating two aircraft.
From the new base, Ryanair will operate 89 departing flights per week serving 21 new routes to 15 countries including Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Serbia and the UK.
Ryanair first entered the Swedish market in 1997, with a route from London to Stockholm Skavsta.
