Aug 10, 2021 (newstodate): Still remembered as a well-known figure in Latvia's aviation business, Janis Vanags is now surfacing in the country's pharmaceutical industry.
   Starting from August 1, 2021, Mr Vanags has been appointed Board member and Chief Corporate Office at Repharm AS, a cluster of Latvian businesses operating in the field of health care.
   Since January 2018, Mr Vanags has served as Board Member and CCO of Latvia's largest retail chain Maxima, the largest company in the Baltics employing more than 30,000 staff in five countries.  
   Janis Vanags served as airBaltic VP Corporate Communications from February 2007 until he left the company in June 2017 as rather a surprise to the aviation circles - and much regretted in the industry.
