Aug 04, 2021 (newstodate): The Icelandic cargo carrier Bluebird Nordic is to take in 25 Boeing 737-800 converted freighters till 2024, adding to its existing fleet comprising one Boeing 737-300 and seven Boeing 737-400 freighters.
The first two aircraft were earlier operated by Turkish Airlines and will be delivered by September and October 2021, already, and are thus now undergoing P2F conversion.
The first aircraft is being converted in Jinan, China by Taikoo Aircraft Engineering Company Limited, while the second aircraft is under conversion at GAMECO in Guangzhou, China.
In both cases, deliveries are performed under a leasing contract with the ASG leasing company AviaAM Leasing.
