Jul 26, 2021 (newstodate): In the first six months of this year, Copenhagen Airport saw its total cargo volumes up by 21 percent, y-o-y.
A total of 132,296 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport during January-June 2021, loads on legacy and integrator carriers included, compared to H1/2020 where volumes dropped 36 percent, y-o-y, as the coronavirus struck.
Counting legacy carrier cargo only, the increase was 17 percent, to 90,409 tonnes, compared to 77,159 tonnes in H1/2020 where volumes dropped 42 percent compared to 2019.
In H1/2021, belly cargo volumes were up by 27 percent, y-o-y, to 45,145 tonnes, after volumes in H1/2020 dipped 43 percent, y-o-y.
All-cargo volumes on legacy carriers reached only a mere 361 tonnes, compared to 1,276 tonnes in H1/2020 where volumes still dipped 95 percent, compared to H1/2019.
