Jun 21, 2021 (newstodate): Saudia Cargo has -at least temporarily - suspended its all-cargo service to Denmark.
Saudia Cargo launched its twice-weekly Boeing 777-300ER all-cargo service from Jeddah to Copenhagen on May 22, 2021, with ambitions to add passengers also later this year - if warranted by the market.
-The service has been temporarily suspended due to C-check on the aircraft used on the route. But so far, we expect flights to be resumed once the maintenance check is completed, says a source close to the operation in Copenhagen.
Another source, however, claims that even if loads on Saudia Cargo's flights were actually high, revenues did not meet the expected levels, causing the carrier to at least temporarily suspend the service, without actually closing down the route at this stage.
Serving as the company's GSSA in Scandinavia with the task of selling the payload of up to some 70 tonnes is Euro Cargo Aviation.
