Jun 15, 2021 (newstodate): Iceland's Keflavik Airport is happy to see the return of SAS after the Covid-19 hiatus.
June 14 marked the return of the carrier from Copenhagen Airport to Keflavik Airport, initially with three weekly rotations, and starting from June 27, 2021, with two weekly rotations also from Norway's Oslo Airport.
SAS has been operating flights to Keflavik Airport since 2005; while the flights by SAS from Copenhagen to Iceland were suspended for more than 20 years, to be resumed only from March 14, 2015, SAS has continuously provided one daily year-round flight to Iceland from Oslo, in Norway.
