Jun 04, 2021 (newstodate): After much fanfare, it came as little surprise that the new carrier to operate at Denmark's Aarhus Airport is indeed the Swedish regional carrier BRA Braathens Regional Airlines.
Presenting the project, Per G Braathen was keen to stress the environmental concern of his airline that will aim at going electric within four-five year, or when technology allows, as well as stressing the use of biofuel as a key issue.
Plans are now to start out with flights from Aarhus Airport to three Swedish destinations: to Gothenburg continuing to Stockholm Bromma six times weekly from September 27, 2021, and finally to Scandinavian Mountains Airport at Salen, close to the Norwegian border, in winter 2021/22.
Flights will be operated with BRA's fleet of 12 ATR 72-600 aircraft.
