Jun 21, 2021 (newstodate): The Danish charter and ACMI carrier Great Dane Airlines' Vietnamese wet-lease contract proved a success, and one aircraft is still operating for Bamboo Airlines.
The airline's third Embraer E195 aircraft left its home base at Aalborg Airport on April 21, 2021, heading for Hanoi - and is still in the country.
-The aircraft is still operating for Bamboo Airlines, but will return to Denmark this week, to join the two other aircraft in serving this summer's Danish production for Danish tour operators, says Thomas Hugo Moller, Great Dane Airlines CEO.
In July 2020, Great Dane Airlines landed a six-month contract with the Vietnamese carrier Bamboo Airways to operate two Embraer E195 aircraft together with 45 cockpit and cabin crew members on three domestic route.
Great Dane Airlines thus performed its first commercial operation in Vietnam on September 27, 2020.
The contract was later extended till the end of April 2021, with the two aircraft heading for maintenance at LOT Aircraft Maintenance Services' facility at Warsaw Chopin Airport.
