Jun 15, 2021 (newstodate): Eurocontrol has presented an overview of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on Sweden's air traffic.
A rather gloomy picture, it is: Since March 1, 2020, Sweden has lost 372,000 flights; on a seven-day average there are now 722 daily flights, which is 67 percent down on 2019-levels.
The traffic forecast provides limited consolation: in 2021 Sweden will have 43 percent of the traffic in 2019, going up to 72 percent in 2022.
The country's busiest airport, Stockholm Arlanda Airport now operates 188 daily flights on an average - down 74 percent on 2019!
