Jun 15, 2021 (newstodate): The Estonian cargo GSA, AirProxy has come through the Covid-19 period without staff reductions, and with business little affected by the general slow-down.
-Basically, our volumes have performed OK as exports have remained quite well in our markets, says Viljar Lehtmets, AirProxy managing director.
-Traffic is now slowly picking up again with around 25 direct flights out of Tallinn Airport - much less than before the Covid-19, but still increasing.
-Volumes with SAS are comparatively low as there is limited road feeder service from Arlanda and flights are provided with small aircraft offering limited capacity. On the other hand, Lufthansa has been important to us, offering frequent road feeder services from Tallinn which as helped us a lot.
-We have offices in Tallinn and Riga, with Vilnius served mainly from our Riga-office. This is not, however, the optimal solution for future growth, so let's see if this will change with opening up in Lithuania as well at some point in time, says Mr Lehtmets.
Besides SAS and Lufthansa, the customer portfolio of AirProxy comprises also CSA Cargo, Singapore Airlines Cargo, and Coyne Airways in all three Baltic markets.
