Jun 04, 2021 (newstodate): Facing the sustained growth in global demand for uplift capacity, the Danish cargo carrier Star Air, owned by the AP Moller-Maersk Group, is adding another Boeing 767 freighter to the fleet.
-We have taken delivery of one more Boeing 767-200 freighter that will initially be deployed at Leipzig Airport to serve our customer DHL, says Peter Corfitsen, Star Air CEO since May 1, 2021, as successor to Soren Graversen who served for 13 years in the seat.
The new tail in the Star Air fleet was built in 1983 and last served with West Air Sweden, 2015-20.
Founded in 1987, Star Air is now operating a total of 15 Boeing 767 cargo aircraft including 12 Boeing 767-200 and three Boeing 767-300 converted freighters operating on contracts with integrators as well as providing charter services.
