Jun 08, 2021 (newstodate): Copenhagen Airport reports a total of 108,452 tonnes of cargo handled in January-May 2021.
This corresponds to an increase by 12.8 percent compared to last year - but still down by 24.2 percent compared to volumes in 2019, the pre-corona year.
Excluding loads on the integrator traffic, the airport normally relies heavily on belly cargo on passenger aircraft due to its role as a North European hub.
In the first five months of this year, the airport has seen belly cargo volumes at 36,951 tonnes - an increase by 13.4 percent, y-o-y, but 8.6 percent down on 2019 as the passenger traffic is still slow in picking up after the ever-changing limitations and restrictions to air traffic.
