Jun 29, 2021 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic is facing a busy summer season 2021 after a disastrous year marred by Covid-19 lockdowns and grounding of flights.
The carrier will thus be operating direct flights from Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius to over 70 different destinations, in addition to seasonal flights from Riga to Aberdeen, Catania, Corfu, Dubrovnik, Edinburgh, Heraklion, Kos, Lviv, Naples, Odessa, Olbia, Palma de Mallorca, Pisa, Rhodes, Rijeka, Santorini, Split, Thessaloniki, Valencia and Venice.
Besides, airBaltic is also to operate seasonal flights from Vilnius to Dubrovnik and from Tallinn to Nice and Malaga.
Serving the extensive summer 2021 program will be the airline's fleet of 27 Airbus A220-300 aircraft, now all utilized regularly after the partial grounding of the fleet in 2020.
In contrast to earlier years, airBaltic's will have no aircraft on the ACMI market where airlines' demand for extra capacity is almost extinct for obvious reasons.
