May 19, 2021 (newstodate): New airlines are popping up in the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic, notably in the low-cost segment.
One project is Norse Atlantic Airways, established by three investors Bjorn Tore Larsen, Bjorn Kjos, and Bjorn Kise - all with firm backgrounds in the earlier Norwegian carrier.
Norse Atlantic Airways intends to launch flights by the end of this year on Transatlantic routes connecting destinations including Oslo, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, London, and Paris with an all-Boeing 787 aircraft fleet.
Norse Atlantic Airways thus intends to pick up where its predecessor Norwegian failed, stopping all Transatlantic flights from January 2021 after a period of suspension due to the Covid-19 outbreak and lockdowns.
To realize its Transatlantic traffic, the new carrier will have to obtain a Foreign Air Carrier Permit, and so far the US pilot organizations are vehemently against this.
Anyhow, Norse Atlantic Airways is now advertising the opening of a job position as Project Manager to support the airline as it gears up for its first flight.
The Project Manager will assist senior management in overseeing the many parallel, cross-functional processes underway across the company and around the world to help accelerate Norse from its pre-revenue phase into full operation.
The successful candidate will be placed in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the advertisement reads.
