May 26, 2021 (newstodate): The new Lithuanian carrier Heston Airlines based at Vilnius Airport is now in business with two Airbus A320 aircraft offered to operators and customers in the charter and ACMI markets.
Landing its AOC only on May 21, 2021, the carrier took delivery of its second aircraft on May 26, 2021, like the first A320 delivered in December 2020 on a lease contract with the Irish aircraft leasing company Genesis.
Part of Heston Aviation Group focused on aviation assets Leasing, Trading, Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul, and now ACMI/Charter operation, Lithuania's Heston Airlines will launch commercial operations from mid-June 2021, poised and ready to take advantage of the expected looming recovery in the global air travel market.
Managed by Jonas Rinkauskas as CEO, Heston plans to grow the aircraft fleet to seven aircraft by 2022, and eventually up to 10 aircraft at a later stage.
