May 03, 2021 (newstodate): Saturday, May 1, 2021, marked the return by Wideroe Ground Handling to Oslo Airport.
Wideroe Ground Handling was last present at Oslo Airport during the period October 8, 1998, till September 31, 2008, but after a tender process ending in December 2020, Wideroe Ground Handling won a contract for handling at Oslo Airport of the airline Wideroe with some 100 weekly movement as its first customer at Norway's capital airport.
Returning to Oslo Airport will now enable Wideroe Ground Handling to compete with other handling providers for new customers in the market.
With the opening of business at Oslo Airport with Merete Elvestad as WGH Station Manager, Wideroe Ground Handling will be operating at 42 airports in Norway with more than 1,800 staff, qualifying as Norway's largest provider of ground handling services.
