May 28, 2021 (newstodate): Work is progressing on readying Global Airways Lithuania to launch business - but the Lithuanian AOC is still pending.
   A subsidiary of the South African carrier Global Airways, the coming new Lithuanian passenger airline to be based in Vilnius will be offering charter and ACMI services with Airbus A320 Family aircraft.
   -From the start, we will move one Airbus A320 aircraft from our South African AOC to our coming Lithuanian AOC, and we are certainly to expand by adding new own aircraft directly as markets develop after the Covid-19 pandemic, Bruno Kaspar, Global Airways Lithuania told newstodate in October 2020.
   However, the process of handling Global Airways' application for its AOC is still not completed.
   -I can confirm the Global Airlines certification is ongoing at the pace that we can ensure with our resources. Overall there is a good progress; however there are still some things that need to be done, a source within Transporto Kompetenciju Agentura says.
