May 04, 2021 (newstodate): Great news in May: Saudia Cargo will be a new scheduled all-cargo carrier at Copenhagen Airport this summer!
With the first flights from Riyadh on May 15, 2021, the carrier will be providing two weekly rotations, Wednesdays and Saturdays, to Copenhagen to serve the Scandinavian market with new cargo capacity.
Saudia Cargo will be operating a B777-300 passenger aircraft, offering a payload of up to some 70 tonnes.
-It is really great to see that Saudia Airlines will start operating from Scandinavia and with CPH as the selected hub, says Johan Toreheim, Managing Director at Euro Cargo Aviation, the company's GSSA in Scandinavia.
-This is in fact the first commercial flight that Saudia is operating to and from Copenhagen and Denmark. With two weekly departures we will be able to give the Danish market a good and quick connection to Saudia Arabia, but also to the several international connections from Riyadh and Jeddah.
Saudia Cargo's network comprises a wide range of destinations in the Middle East, Africa and Asia including China and India.
On the sideline: While flights by Saudia are indeed a novelty in Scandinavia, the Chief Air Cargo Officer at Saudia Airlines Cargo is actually a Danish national, Teddy Zebitz, with the company since September 2017 and formerly also over 20 years with SAS and SAS Cargo.
