May 20, 2021 (newstodate): The Danish carrier DAT is active in Italy's domestic flight business.
The carrier's Italian subsidiary DAT Volidisicilia has been operating flights connecting Catania and Olbia for almost four years, and is now adding three new routes during summer 2021, including routes Catania-Brindisi, Naples-Lampedusa and Pantelleria-Lampedusa.
In 2018, the carrier won a three-year PSO contract in southern Italy for flights starting from July 1, 2018, connecting Pantelleria and Lampedusa with airports on Sicily - and this traffic is now to continue on commercial terms beyond the original contract period.
