May 25, 2021 (newstodate): Belavia will find all flights to and from EU markets suspended as of today, following on the alleged kidnapping of a Ryanair flight from Athens to Vilnius on Sunday.
So far, several EU governments have barred their airspace to Belarus airlines, causing Belavia to announce: "We apologize and express deep regret in this situation, that happened due to reasons absolutely beyond our control."
Anyhow, this morning still saw Belavia's flight from Minsk to Stockholm - the airline's only Scandinavian destination - departing as planned, slated for the return flight on 10.30.
Belavia's flights to Riga and Vilnius now seem to have been suspended, while the four daily flights to Tallinn still figure on the airline's monitor.
