May 31, 2021 (newstodate): Sitting on the fence awaiting the expected opening of this year's summer charter season is a new Danish carrier: Airseven.
-We are continuously following news from the Danish Foreign Ministry on openings of the European charter markets, and are ready to start operations at short notice, says Klaus Ren, Airseven CEO.
-We expect this to happen early in June 2021, and everything is in place for start of services with our two leased Boeing 737-400 aircraft, currently parked at Roskilde Airport but due to be moved to Jutland once operations lift off and also to be operating out of Copenhagen Airport.
-Our aircraft are not the latest models but offer low capital costs, and they can be operated profitably even at lower passenger load factors, says Mr Ren.
After a long period of waiting, the carrier's first two aircraft were finally cleared to fly with Danish pilots from East Midlands Airport to Roskilde Airport in December 2020- an operation delayed by the harsh travel restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Airseven has leased the two Boeing 737-400 aircraft that are placed on the AOC of Copenhagen AirTaxi from a yet-undislosed lessor, and will be starting operations for Primo Tours and other tour operators, while also offering the excess capacity on the ad-hoc charter and ACMI markets.
