Apr 23, 2021 (newstodate): The new Romanian carrier Animawings is preparing for its launch of services to new markets Denmark and Finland in summer 2021.
The carrier has been planning for start of services from Bucharest to Billund in Denmark from June 16, and to Helsinki in Finland from June 4, 2021 - but the plans have been slightly revised.
Flights on both routes will instead launch from July 2, 2021, still with two weekly rotations using Airbus A320 Family aircraft.
The coming new routes mark Animawings' debut on the market for scheduled services, having so far focused only on charter flights from Bucharest to leisure destinations in Egypt, Turkey, Greece and Tanzania.
Animawings received its AOC in July 2020 and now operates a fleet comprising only one Airbus A320 aircraft while leasing additional capacity from Aegean Airlines owning 25 percent of the stake in the carrier until the delivery of a further two Airbus A320 aircraft on orders.
