Apr 29, 2021 (newstodate: Star Air, the Danish cargo carrier owned by the AP Moller-Maersk Group, is to see a change of CEO.
On May 1, 2021, Peter Corfitsen, recently Head of Energy Efficiency in Fleet & Strategic Brands, will take on the role as Star Air CEO and Accountable Manager, succeeding Soren Graversen who will leave A.P. Moller - Maersk after 13 years in the seat, but with over 37 years of service with the Group in various capacities.
The new man at the rudder, Mr Corfitsen has been with A.P. Moller - Maersk since 1990, serving in various line management and operations roles.
In the fleet of Star Air are 14 Boeing 767 cargo aircraft including 11 Boeing 767-200 and three Boeing 767-300 converted freighters operating on contracts with integrators as well as providing charter services.
Founded in 1987, the carrier has been growing during the recent years, and plans are to set up a new base at Leipzig/Halle Airport alongside the current base at Bonn/Cologne Airport.
