Apr 26, 2021 (newstodate): While details are yet to be revealed, the Danish charter and ACMI carrier Great Dane Airlines seems to have landed a follow-up contract in Vietnam.
The airline's Embraer E195 aircraft thus left its home base at Aalborg Airport on April 21, 2021, heading for Hanoi.
In July 2020, Great Dane Airlines landed a six-month contract with the Vietnamese carrier Bamboo Airways to operate two Embraer E195 aircraft together with 45 cockpit and cabin crew members on three domestic routes into Con Dao, a small airport with 1,800m runway.
The operation was originally planned to launch already by early August, but postponed due to the abrupt recurrence in late July of Covid-19 in Vietnam, and Great Dane Airlines thus performed its first landing on September 27, 2021, after a 14-day quarantine period.
The contract was later extended till the end of April 2021, with the two aircraft heading for maintenance at LOT Aircraft Maintenance Services' facility at Warsaw Chopin Airport.
Now, it seems the carrier's third Embraer E195 aircraft is taking over in Vietnam...
