Apr 08, 2021 (newstodate): Since the start of April 2021, Finnair is served by two ground handling providers at its home base at Helsinki Airport.
From March 31, 2021, Finnair has dividing its ramp handling at the Helsinki hub between two providers: Aviator and the Finavia-owned handling company Airpro, replacing the current handling contract with Swissport Finland.
With this change, Finnair has split the ramp handling of its Airbus fleet from the handling of other aircraft types E190 and ATR in an effort to optimize the handling processes and presumably rein in on costs as the airline enforces a strict austerity program.
At the same time, Finnair's passenger check-in, arrival and departure services at Helsinki Airport remains unchanged with the airline's own customer service.
