Apr 16, 2021 (newstodate): Finnair Cargo has decided to set up own cargo sales office in Norway.
Taking effect from June 1, 2021, cargo sales in Norway will be performed from the new office in Oslo, managed by Astrid Solli-Hansen as Sales Manager Norway.
May 31, 2021, will thus mark the cut-over date for Finnair Cargo sales and bookings, performed today by its GSSA, ScanPartners International.
Ms Solli-Hansen has been with Finnair since August 1992 - but exclusively on the passenger side, for the last 10 years serving as Finnair Sales Manager responsible for leisure sales in Norway.
Since October 2018, Finnair Cargo's handling provider at Oslo Airport is Spirit Air Cargo Handling, and specifically for exports of seafood, Finnair Cargo has contracted Gardermoen Perishable Center AS, owned by Schenker Norway, DHL and the Norwegian freight forwarder Air Cargo Logistics.
Finnair Cargo is a key provider of cargo capacity to Norway's seafood exporters offering scheduled trucking services from Norway to the company's COOL Nordic Cargo Hub at Helsinki for flights on the airline's Asian routes.
