Apr 14, 2021 (newstodate): In 2021, the Latvian charter carrier and ACMI provider SmartLynx has firmed up its foothold in the German market with new contracts.
   In summer 2021, SmartLynx will be operating full charters on contracts with the German tour operator TUI Deutschland, basing one Airbus A320 aircraft to provide flights out of Saarbrucken and one Airbus A320 aircraft at EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg.
   In another contract with the German capacity provider Involatus, SmartLynx will allocate three Airbus A320 to provide flights from Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Hanover, Munich to leisure destinations Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and Tenerife during the 2021 autumn season.
   On  the cargo side, SmartLynx is operating its two Airbus A321-200 converted freighter aircraft for DHL based at Leipzig Halle Airport for world-wide cargo operations.
   In the fleet of SmartLynx are now 22 Airbus A320 Family as well as three Airbus A330 aircraft.
