Apr 07, 2021 (newstodate): The Aviator Group has now confirmed Jens Bo Hansen as new Managing Director for Aviator Airport Partner and Copenhagen Flight Services.
Mr Hansen has actually held the position on an interim basis since June 2020 and thus steering through the turbulent period in 2020 when the company filed for bankruptcy in hope for a reconstruction - which was, however, denied by the creditors, forcing a full bankruptcy and a new ownership construction allowing it to reboot business.
-As most other players in the business we were severely hit by the coronavirus pandemic that saw traffic declining drastically in 2020, says Jens Bo Hansen.
-We did lose some important customers and had to release part of our workforce; today we employ some 150 people at Copenhagen Airport Partner and while the rebound in traffic is yet to be seen, we are in business with legacy carriers including Lufthansa, KLM/Air France, Turkish Airlines and Air Greenland among our key customers in Aviator Airport Partner, while Copenhagen Flight Services with 80 employees serves low-cost airlines such as Ryanair and easyJet.
-So we are quite optimistic about the future, expecting a "ketchup effect" in the airline traffic once the national restrictions and lockdowns are lifted, freeing the suppressed demand for air travel once again, says Mr Hansen.
