Apr 08, 2021 (newstodate): Air Canada is seeing a sustained, and even growing demand for cargo capacity in the Scandinavian markets.
As a result, the carrier introduced a series of initially six Airbus A330-300 all-cargo flights between Copenhagen and Canada in a partnership with HWF starting from April 26, 2020, and the service was since prolonged repeatedly.
Now, the service is set to continue at least till June 7, 2021, but expectations are that it will be further prolonged till October.
The all-cargo service is operated with Boeing 787-8 aircraft with two weekly rotations between Toronto and Copenhagen.
The prolongation will bridge the gap till October 2021 when Air Canada expectedly returns passenger flights on the route, suspended from spring 2020 due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
Air Canada launched its five-times weekly service between Toronto and Copenhagen from June 25, 2010, using Boeing 767-300ER aircraft and served by HWF as cargo GSA.
