Mar 25, 2021 (newstodate): Vietnam Airlines is returning services to Europe with the opening of a new destination in 2021: Amsterdam.
Flights on the route from Amsterdam to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh Tan Son Nhat International Airport will commence from March 29, 2021, offering one weekly rotation with Boeing 787/Airbus A350 aircraft.
The new destination adds to the carrier's European route network also comprising Paris CDG, London Heathrow and Gatwick, and Frankfurt.
Serving the carrier as cargo GSSA in the Scandinavian markets since June 2020 are sister companies Aviation Cargo in Sweden, Euro Cargo Aviation in Norway, and Euro Cargo Aviation in Denmark.
Vietnam is greatly benefiting from the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement taking effect from August 1, 2020, and expected to significantly raise both imports and exports volumes between Vietnam and the Scandinavian markets.
Off-line in Scandinavia, Vietnam Airlines' cargo shipments are trucked between the European and Scandinavian airports.
