Mar 12, 2021 (newstodate): Wizz Air is to open a spree of new routes from its base in Tirana, Albania, set up on July 1, 2020.
   Among six new routes announced are flights between Tirana and Malmo with three weekly rotations starting from May 14, 2021, and between Tirana and Stockholm Skavsta Airport with two weekly rotations from May 15, 2021.
   Facilitating the expansion is the addition of a fourth Airbus A320 aircraft at the base at Tirana that already has 15 routes served by the carrier.
   Wizz Air made its entry into the Albanian market with the first flights starting in 2017.
