Mar 02, 2021 (newstodate): The new Norwegian LCC under formation, Flyr, has its target on an efficiency level competitive against the European ultra-low-cost carriers as it launches flights from late in H1/2021.
Measured in full-time employees per aircraft, Flyr expects to start out at the levels of Wizz, roughly 44 employees per aircraft, planning to match the level of Ryanair, 38, in year two, and landing in its year 5 at 36 employees and 850 block hours per crew per year- undercutting all competitors.
According to Flyr, Ryanair has 38 employees per aircraft; Wizz has 44 employees, EasyJet 46, Norwegian 58 and SAS 66 employees per aircraft.
