Mar 19, 2021 (newstodate): Latvia's airBaltic has deepened its code-share agreement with Ukraine International Airlines, with effect from the coming summer 2021 schedule.
From March 28, 2021, the two carriers will thus add their airline codes on all flights between Vilnius, in Lithuania, and Kiev and beyond at both points.
airBaltic has been online with flights between Riga, in Latvia, and Kiev since February 15, 1996 - but all flights were suspended in 2020 as the coronavirus struck.
Restrictions on flights to and from Latvia still apply, driving airBaltic to reopen flights to Kiev from neighboring Lithuania instead.
Operating the route is airBaltic with two weekly rotations, increasing to three weekly rotation from June 2021 using Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
