Mar 26, 2021 (newstodate): The Montenegro government's plans for setting up a new national carrier will be boosted by support from Lufthansa Consulting.
After a tender process ending March 3, 2021, LH Consulting has thus won the contract to provide the new carrier ToMontenegro Airlines with complete start-up process preparation as well as developing a long-term plan for the carrier, including future network and fleet structure.
ToMontegro Airlines plans to launch flights already by June this year, pending the completion of processes to obtain its AOC and licenses.
In support of the project, Montenegro's government has acquired two Embraer 195 aircraft formerly operated by its now-defunct predecessor, Montenegro Airlines that went bust with huge debts on December 26, 2020, leaving the country without an own flag carrier.
