Mar 01, 2021 (newstodate): Denmark's Billund Airport has been actively announcing new routes and operators from this year's summer schedule.
Latest news is the start of services by the Romanian carrier Animawings that will be offering two rotations to Billund from Bucharest from June 18, 2021.
Also in the news is the announcement of start of services by Swiss from June 2, 2012, with two weekly rotations on the route to Zurich.
Earlier, Billund Airport announced the return of services by Turkish Airlines on the route to Istanbul from S'21, as well as the opening of a second Turkish destination: Gazipasa, from June 16, 2021, with one weekly rotation.
Prior to that, news were that the Spanish carrier Vueling plans to launch two weekly rotations at Billund Airport from June 18, 202, to destinations Barcelona, Malaga and Mallorca.
Taking effect form today, MArch 1, 2021, Billund Airport has also added fresh power to its route development team by welcoming Kaspar Andreas Nissen, formerly with Copenhagen Airport, bringing in experience also from SAS, Qatar Airways, and Leman.
