Mar 03, 2021 (newstodate): Menzies is determined to enhance its green performance at Norway's Oslo Airport.
   As the first in Europe, Menzies is currently testing  the Danish de-icing equipment manufacturer Vestergaard's Elephant e-BETA, a new electrically operated de-icing unit, and the  initial tests indicate that using the electrically driven de-icing vehicle will reduce greenhouse gases, including carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxides, by 87 percent per truck each year.
   If the trial proves a success and the Vestergaard Elephant  e-BETA is rolled out, 97 percent of Menzies’ Oslo-based ground support equipment will go electric.
