Mar 26, 2021 (newstodate): In the first two months of this year, Swedavia has seen a drop by 12 percent, y-o-y, in flown air cargo volumes at its three main airports.
A total of 19,848 tonnes of flown cargo was thus handled at the airports of Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmo in January-February 2021, including 9,786 tonnes in January and 10,062 tonnes in February.
Swedavia is soon to publish more detailed statistics, while the statistical method has been changed from the start of this year to comprising only flown cargo, making comparisons to volumes in 2020 more difficult.
In 2020, the three airport combined saw cargo volumes, flown and trucked, down by 30.2 percent, y-o-y, to 175,499 tonnes.
