Mar 24, 2021 (newstodate): Provided the Coronavirus finally loosens its grip, and the volcanos remain under control, Iceland may look forward to a return by many airlines as the summer 2021 schedule unfolds.
Latest encouraging news at Keflavik Airport is the return of services by Air Canada from July 1, 2021, on the routes from Montreal and Toronto served with two and three rotations, respectively.
Both routes will be served with Boeing 737 MAX aircraft replacing the Airbus A319 earlier operating the routes for Air Canada Rouge.
In June 2017, Air Canada entered the Icelandic market with a total of seven weekly flights - four from Toronto and three from Montreal as the first Canadian airline and only Star Alliance carrier in North America to fly to Iceland.
