Feb 08, 2021 (newstodate): SAS is scheduling all-cargo flights through February between Copenhagen and Sao Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport, in Brazil.
Approved by Brazil's National Civil Aviation Agency as "non-regulated international cargo", the operation lifted off on a first test flight on January 22, 2021, with a SAS' Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
Since then, the carrier has been operating one weekly rotation on the route, and flights are so far scheduled for February 6, 12, 29 and 26, with a 24-hours stop in Brazil before the return flight.
The operations are driven primarily by requests from Scandinavian exporters in the automotive industries with special needs for keeping production lines running in Brazil.
