Feb 01, 2021 (newstodate): After a few test flights since January 27, 2021, Virgin Atlantic Cargo is officially opening scheduled all-cargo flights at Norway's Evenes Airport on February 3, 2021.
The carrier is thus to offer two weekly rotations between London Heathrow and Evenes Airport with Boeing 787-9 aircraft adding over 100 tonnes of capacity per week, primarily to serve the Norwegian seafood exporters with onward transfer to the US market.
Also at Evenes Airport, Qatar Airways Cargo is now since December 14, 2020, operating all-cargo flights to Doha for transfer options to Asian destinations on Tuesdays and Thursdays, pending the return of the third flight on Mondays.
Seafood exporters in the northern region will thus now have up to daily all-cargo flights to markets in both Asia and North America.
