Feb 04, 2021 (newstodate): Following an audit by IATA, Spirit Air Cargo Handling has secured the IATA CEIV Pharma re-certification at Copenhagen Airport.
    The audit has confirmed that Spirit’s management, and quality systems, processes, procedures, policies and facilities are in compliance with the demands for handling of air cargo shipment with Covid-19 vaccines, other pharmaceuticals and medical equipment that require correct temperature-controlled handling and storage.
   The facility at Copenhagen Airport provides landside acceptance gates and truck docks, and the warehouse has temperature-controlled storage areas for Pharma shipments only, equipped with alarms.
   Spirit Air Cargo Handling expects to have facilities at Oslo and Stockholm re-certified in the nearest future as well.
   By the end of January 2018, Spirit Air Cargo Handling completed IATA's CEIV Pharma Certification process at Copenhagen Airport as the first of the three Spirit Air Cargo hub facilities ijn Scandinavia.
