Feb 25, 2021 (newstodate): Slovenia has been without a national carrier since the bankruptcy of Adria Airways on October 1, 2019.
Now, a new airline is under formation in Slovenia, to be named SouthEast Airlines and operating a fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft expecting to grow from initially one to two aircraft before the end of this year.
According to Slovenian media, the carrier has already started selection and training of flight crews, planning for three to four crews for the first aircraft that would lift-off on its first commercial flight in June 2021.
The focus of the planned airline will be of providing capacity for flights between Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, Greece and Turkey.
