Feb 01, 1021(newstodate): According to today's counting, Wizz Air will be in the top-tree among operators this summer at Norway's Oslo Airport.
From November 2020, Wizz Air launched flights on a domestic route network in Norway comprising 12 destinations, and so far plans have been revealed to start flights also to five international destinations from Oslo including Alicante, Gran Canaria, Larnaca, Chania and Split, all to be served 2-3 times weekly.
So far, Wizz Air is thus to operate flights to 17 destinations, close to overtaking the Norwegian carrier Wideroe that has set up flights to 19 destinations from Oslo Airport in summer 2021.
Having abandoned the long-haul market, the Norwegian low-cost airline Norwegian is now operating from Oslo to 12 destinations in Norway, with more routes expected to follow shortly.
Yet to lift-off is the newcomer to the market at Oslo Airport: the low-cost airline project Flyr that has announced the start of flights from Oslo to 12 destinations, including five outside Norway, aiming at launch from June 1, 2021.
