Dec 14, 2021 (newstodate): The first aircraft in the fleet of the coming new SAS subsidiary, SAS Link are now in the pipeline.
Six Embraer 195 aircraft formerly operated by FlyBe are currently being reconfigured and painted and will be delivered on a long-term lease contract with the British leasing company Falko Regional Aircraft Limited, a long-term provider to SAS since 2011.
Sources claim that another batch of Embraer E195 aircraft currently parked after being operated by the now-defunct Danish carrier Great Dane Airlines may be next in line, alongside four similar aircraft in the fleet of the Estonian capacity provider Xfly that is already a provider to SAS.
Operating as a mid-size airline with its base at Copenhagen Airport, SAS Link will provide regional air traffic from H1/2022.
