Dec 09, 2021 (newstodate): International, including EU sanctions on Belarus are taking a heavy toll on the country's national carrier Belavia.
   As one recent step, Belavia has been disconnected from IATA's global airline system BSP concerning ticket sales, and from CASS, IATAs global system for air cargo settlements.
   The suspension of Belavia's BSP membership alone entails a loss of an estimated 70 percent of the airline's ticket sales.
   Belavia has also been forced to ground about half of its aircraft fleet due to the implementation of the latest round of sanctions from December 2, 2021.
